I used a new gasket and sealed both sides of it with Yamabond 4.

Beware of breaking those little screws off when disassembling the tank Wes!  I used the KBS fuel tank sealer kit on Frank’s tank.  It was welded shut first, but it would seal it surely without breaking the bolts loose.

This stuff works wonders. I sacrificed a cheapo nylon fitting screwed into the hole to protect it and just a quarter cup will do the job. I let it run around the joining area by kinda rolling the tank until it wouldn't run anymore. It's important to have the tank clean and dry first. :)

:text-yeahthat: I've used it in a few car/truck gas tanks and it worked well.

I like that there's little waste with it. When you get done sloshing it around in the tank, the excess can be poured back in the container for later use.

Jonah that is an attribute that is not advertised with KBS product.  It’s a one time use, active when it hits the air.

@buckrancher  Brian, just so you know, I went looking for that thread last week.  I wanted to put it into the Reference section...where it should be.  It is screwed up with all the Photo Bucket pictures.  Do you still have all of those pictures on your computer??  Either you or I can go back and replace the Photo Bucket pictures.  It will take some work, but this thread is worth it.  Let me know.  If you want to do it...Karl will have to give you the power to go back and edit that thread.  For me to do it, I would need the pictures on a DVD or thumb drive.  :orcs-cheers:
