The Tuul Crib 7,338 #1 Posted November 17, 2019 When I picked up two charger tens today I realized that he had the wheel horse manual book. He said he would sell it but I'm not sure what to offer him and what it's worth. 1
Pollack Pete 2,273 #2 Posted November 17, 2019 (edited) Unless he has other Wheel Horse equipment,it should have little or no value to him.Unless he watches American Pickers or other BS TV shows and thinks it's worth a fortune.Mine was a freebie when I bought a 953 one time.Offer him a 20 dollar bill??Of course,I wouldn't sell mine for that, but I'm a WH collector, maybe he's not.Lots of good info in that book. rjg854 11,952 #3 Posted November 17, 2019 I tend to like your way of thinking, Pete. You gotta start someplace, so start low and gauge the reaction. The worst he can do is refuse.
953 nut 58,525 #4 Posted November 17, 2019 Manuals in a binder like that are a neat thing to adorn your shelf, but the value is sort of limited when you consider the variety of manuals @gwest_ca has compiled for us on this site. Like @Pollack Pete said, offer him a reasonable amount and don't go hog wild (unless you want to)
Retired Wrencher 5,673 #5 Posted November 17, 2019 I think if you want it and it is not much $$ go for it as a conversation piece and part of the past. I think I paid $20 or $30 for mine at a tractor show with Kohler manuals also.
The Tuul Crib 7,338 #6 Posted November 17, 2019 This was bought l believe as a part of an estate auction here locally. Not sure if this is the same one but l do remember a while back seeing one on either CL or market place and the guy was wanting 225 for it . I did think that was a little high. It was there along time.

stevasaurus 23,131 #9 Posted November 17, 2019 I'd buy it for @gwest_ca for Christmas...or at least let him borrow it to fill in any gaps. 1
12Horse Paladin 1,038 #10 Posted November 17, 2019 I wish you luck, whatever happens! I dunno the value of such a thing, but m'self, i would LOVE to have such a thing! I like that old paper almost as much as these tractors; it is as much a part/record of WH history, as the tractors themselves. I would pour over that for hours...
