oldoutboard 2 #1 Posted October 9, 2019 Does anyone here run a Kohler K161 7 hp on a Wheel Horse 702 without using a fuel pump and are there fuel pump repair kits still available for OEM fuel pumps? My fuel pump leaks gas around the diaphragm Thanks in advance.

Racinbob 10,277 #3 Posted October 9, 2019 http://www.then-now-auto.com/kohler-fuel-pumps-2/ As long as your fuel tank is higher than the carb you'd be fine.

Pullstart 59,719 #5 Posted October 9, 2019 to @oldoutboard! I run a K-181T on my 502 with no fuel pump. I have a glass bowl under the tank and it is connected by a 1/8” x close pipe nipple. It is higher than the carburetor just enough to make it work. Here is a link to my 502 build, where it shows how I routed the fuel line for slope too.. though it’s probably unnecessary.
oldoutboard 2 #6 Posted October 9, 2019 Thanks for all the information, I am going to try to run without the fuel pump and see if it works, the bottom of the tank is a little higher than the carb inlet.
