My cheap way to add weight

WHX??

That's better than nothing Bum. You can always load the tires till your wheel weight ship comes in.

Yes I could load the tires if I could find some used anti freeze, that may add another 15 to 20 lbs. I don't care to use calcium, makes to big a mess. May have to mix some concrete and make a couple.

R/V  anti freeze works well, use the biodegradable style,  also windshield washer fluid  is another cheap alternative.

Call Rimguard Company and see if they have a dealer in your area.

I used to have one here that would fill the tires and do the work for you and it cost less per gallon then any other fluid at the time.

That dealer has since changed hands so unfortunately no longer available to me.

Yepper windshield washer fluid works to, we have a tire shop that fills tires not sure if they do small ones like that. Unfortunately only have a bourbon from time to time hardly never goes to McKee D's hi hi.

Windshield washer fluid when it goes on sale and  a filler hooby doo from TSC. Lots of threads here on how to load tires Bum..  @squonk , useless as he is, :ychain:  even has a video I believe.

I store all of my chains in the under seat tool box on the 1055. Added weight and I don't have to remember where I put them last.

Don't have wheel weights for my commando 800 and want to use it with the 36 inch snow blower I got from Bigmike last weekend, so this is my way of adding some extra weight along with my 220 lb. Butt and of course chains. It equals 45 extra lbs.

You weren't down my way today were you? I got behind a car this morning with a plate that said "Trout Bum".

Yep OILUJ52 I have a couple serving as door stops and every time I kick one I say that thing needs a new purpose and so I repurposed this one. I am going to try and drill a couple of the 20 lb. round flat disk and turn into wheel weights as I have several lying around that need repurposed.

I understand I pulled a wheel stand on my 417 back in 1987, was climbing a steep slope and for what ever reason it kicked out of gear and I threw right back in gear. It came up and over backwards, smashed the hood and seat pan pretty bad. Got lucky and found a roller chassis with perfect sheet metal very reasonable, still have an out of shape steering wheel. Have not managed to get the two wheels off to swap them out. To make matters worse I had just got home a couple days earlier from a hospital stay from a motorcycle crash.

You done very well with your weights Norm, only thing I see bad is not being able to get to the valve stems. But maybe yours are on back side of wheels, I have some heavy plates that are just the right size for the wheels, but would also cover the valve stems unless I cut out those areas and put extensions on.

The valve stems are on the inside/back of the wheels. I'm surprised your aren't. That's where they are on my three Wheel Horses and the Sears/Roper.

My wheel horse 417 the valve stems are on the inside, my wheel horse commando 800 the valve stems are on the outside.
