Here are the pics I promised ebinmaine .

First pic is the monster we found . userj8670 believes it's a 50 HP made in Bradford P.A.

Second is the ( still intact clutch ).

Third is some belts and (presumably) an idler / reducer setup.

Fourth is a pic of the sucker-rod eccentric(s) and drive wheel . I have never seen so many rods connected to a drive system here before !

Fifth is a pic of the tension-er arrangement .

Sixth is  userj8670 standing next to the opposite side of pic #3 .

Hope your riding boots are snake proof.      That looks like prime rattler country.

All the years I've been riding there , I have not seen one buzz-tail .

Only one snake ( a little garter ) as a matter of fact .

It's always on my mind though.....

More interesting question to me was,

can i be brought back in Service again..

think a cool project to restore..

it would be worth to safe it.

but yes, it looks a damn heavy Beast,

maybe bigger excavator will be needed to bring it out of the Woods.

But interesting thanks for sharing that pics 👍

I know who owns the land it's on .

I believe when the land changes hands they just get sold with it .

cool pics, I have seen so much of those neat relics left behind doing big land surveying projects.   you name it I probably seen it buried in the forest long forgotten about.   most of the new owners don't even know it's there.  sometimes we would map out where the "trash" piles were depending on the buyers, sometimes it had to be cleaned up to complete the transfer.
