ebinmaine 73,016 #4 Posted August 22, 2019 I don't have any answers for you but I wanted to say welcome to Red Square and that you have a fascinating machine. Perhaps some of our European counterparts could chime in. @Stormin Norman @Tractorhead Stefan Either of you seen anything like this?
Stormin 9,985 #5 Posted August 22, 2019 Not me Eric. Westwood made a ride on mower with a Lombardini diesel engine. Stefan might know more.
953 nut 60,385 #6 Posted August 22, 2019 Wheel Horse did manufacture many garden tractors in Belgium. Some of them were identical to the ones made in the USA and some were not. It may have been the equivalent of the 1974 D-180 with locally sourced engine and some sheet-metal from another model. Of course previous owners could have made changes over the years. Download this manual and see if it is similar to your tractor.
Lee1977 7,232 #7 Posted August 22, 2019 (edited) I don't see anything that looks like a Wheel Horse with exception of the top section of hood and some body butchered it to clear the air filter. Closest thing I can find is a Gutbrod 2350 D Edited August 22, 2019 by Lee1977
Thomas staelens 0 #8 Posted August 22, 2019 What can it be?
Tractorhead 9,212 #9 Posted August 22, 2019 (edited) Welcome to RedSqare Thomas, i didn‘t know that Tractor as it is, but Lombardini Engines are known to me. Lombardini was founded in italy and 1999 sold to Kohler Company. They where often used as Boat engines, as Generator Engines and also in several Gardentractors. They also be used in 2 Wheelers from Gutbrod Brand, (puma 900 i.eg.) after sale to Kohler, i remember to see a Gutbrod Gardentractor with an lombardini 2 Cyl. Engine Diesel. If i see right on your pict‘s, the Engine was a swap, because of the Hood- cut by the Airfilter. Added: because of comparing, it seems to me it was a Gutbrod Brand „upgraded to be a Wheel Horse“ or maybe a customized Tractor. /Added: Edited August 22, 2019 by Tractorhead
Tractorhead 9,212 #10 Posted August 22, 2019 At a closer look it seems a Gutbrod Superior 1032 or similar.
Stepney 2,354 #11 Posted August 22, 2019 That model number brings up nothing I can find. Sure resembles a D series or a Gutbrod though.
Tractorhead 9,212 #12 Posted August 22, 2019 Or maybe a Hako Hakotrac
Thomas staelens 0 #13 Posted August 22, 2019 (edited) Isn’t one of your previcious suggestions. The great difference between them al is the shifting mechanical. Mine is a h- pattern with 1 shifting lever on top of the gearbox(between the legs) . i really thank al of you for searching with me. So are Wheel Horses except hy-dro's. The rear end looks Gutbrod to me, with the angled mudguards/fenders.
Lee1977 7,232 #15 Posted August 22, 2019 Gutbrod 2350 D

I would guess Low and High range so 6 forward and 2 reverse. Could be a Wheel Horse transmission is it belt drive? Edited August 22, 2019 by Lee1977

Lee1977 7,232 #23 Posted August 22, 2019 Gutbrod built the D-250 for Wheel Horse so they could have bought transmissions from Wheel Horse.
