Model # =???

Hi All,

 

I have what I believe is a Commando 800 but would like to confirm model and year.  Tag reads Model # 1 0100 6; Serial # 790336. Have had it for years (bought from original owner) and want to clean it up some.

1-0100 would make it a 1971 Workhorse 800  Does your s have an HH80 8hp Techumseh??

Yes, it had a 8hp Tecumseh but I repowered it with a  10hp Tecumseh.  I have the original pamphlet for the 8hp and it is coded 181-72 so maybe it's a 72?  Also, did Workhorse come in all red?  This was always red and they always referred to it as Wheelhorse. Here are a few pics.  What do you think?  

 

I am converting a 36" deck to work with on this machine and in late Winter will clean up the tractor.
