Hey everyone, haven’t posted anything in a while but I got another Wheel Horse I’m working on, picked up an 800 special a few months ago for only $50!

I’ve gone through the tractor some, it’s runs and drives now, my plan is to clean it up and use it to mow, maybe even a few mods.

I can’t tell if the electric clutch is working, I haven’t gone through the wiring yet but was wondering if anyone has ever replaced the clutch and what clutch they replaced it with, I hope I don’t have to but just in case.

here’s some pictures

Thanks.

With the ignition on but with the motor off you should hear a very audible “click” when you hit the electric PTO switch.

  Nice score for $50!!

I’ll give that a try, the wires to the clutch look frayed so they probably need replacing. The wires to the switch didn’t look too good either.

thanks for the info.

So got through the wiring finally, tried everything I could think of, checking ground, bypassed switches and nothing.

Any ideas of what the clutch can be replaced with?
