1992 310-8

I’m new to this forum but I have researched a lot on here. Great information. Thank you.

I am looking for a replacement carburetor for my 1992 toro wheel horse 310-8. 10 hp magnum model number m10s    Also I do have it able to start and run but when I engage the Pto it cuts out. I have bypassed all switches to test. I have it pinpointed to possible float bowl leak/bad float seat bad carb all together. I know the history of this mower well. I grew up mowing with it. It’s been sitting for 15 years. I am also looking for all other information on this machine and what I can do to get it back running again like it use to.

Welcome to Redsquare!!

Several of us have tried the cheap Chinese carbs and been successful but I personally Can't Recommend Them.

Your best bet IMHO is to clean and rebuild the existing one if possible.

Normally if the throttle shaft is not to excessively worn into the body you'll be fine doing that.

I've been getting a lot of my parts from our vendor A to Z tractors. Lincoln treats me quite well.

Good luck and keep asking questions!

:WRS: You can find new aftermarket carburetors on Ebay cheap. Most of the time a cleaning and rebuild kit on your old one is all that is needed. Here is one source for a rebuild kit. I suggest the OEM Kohler kit.

I think that the cutting out when engaging the PTO and the carb are not related issues.  Are you sure you have bypassed all the safety switches in your testing??

Thank you. Much help. I haven’t had time to look at the 310 much more. Been busy. In the mean time I ran across a guy near by that wants to trade me straight acros for his c141 hydro for my 310-8. He also has a Massey Ferguson snow blower that’s belt driven. I have come up with an idea of mounting it to the c141 and even have a belt the correct length once fabrication for mounting is achieving correctly. Does anyone know of using a different brand attachment in a wheel horse such as a snow blower ?? Thanks again in advance. Also do you think the trade is even? Comes with another plow mid mount which I was going to use to mount the blower and put wheel on the blower so it’s always one height. No lifting required at this point.

THAT would be a huge question in my mind.

>>>>IIFF<<<<<.  the hydro is working correctly, you would be getting the better end of the deal.

Now about the "mid" plow on the 141...

If that's a Mid Mount Grader those are quite rare and desirable. NOT something you want to cut up . They're also VERY handy to have.

Any chance of pics of the 141 or more info?

I would not be chopping anything up. I would mount blower to the rear axle mount blade I have. Sorry for confusion on that

I picked up the 1973 wheel horse 14 automatic. All original. Runs pretty strong still and hydro is in good shape. Mower deck runs and cuts well. Also picked up an electric lift that’s fabricated to fit on the tach matic. I have a hard time uploading pictures as their total mb size is to big. Once I can get pics to post I will.

Picked up a Massey Ferguson snow blower also and the snow blade.

Excited to get it fabricated to use the lift for my mould plow
