Did someone already start a thread that I may have missed about roll call for Wednesday night dinner?

Right, I saw that.

 

I doubt 11 would be any better, and may be worse. I know when my uncle was stationed near Raleigh we would take 81.

Isn’t that the case with most road trips?

 

My navigator has a couple different map apps on her phone.  It updates with traffic jams, quicker routes, etc on the fly.

 

This past holiday weekend I was reminded that most times, brake lights are the devil.  There are 4 lanes of traffic, someone tailgates then taps the brakes instead of letting off... triggering a 4 lane stop and go for 15 minutes.  That was one major point our driving instructor drilled into us in school, use brakes on the interstate only if you HAVE TO.

I made reservations last year but someone else needs to do it this year.Getting a lot of people who are already wound up isn’t easy . We had 20 last year and it almost overwhelmed the restaurant. If there is going to be a big crowd it might be better to do various times.

count me in for 2.  I could make the phone call a couple of days earlier from the count we get here.  It would be for Wednesday night around 6 PM EST.  The Wednesday before the show.

I don't know if I'll will be able to go to the dinner or not.

 

At this point, with everything else I have going on, and Wednesdays being the only day I get to really get work done, probably not. I'm constantly fixing little things on the mower and the engine and trans are out of my truck, and all my clients seem to have picked up their own gremlins.

OK...I called the restaurant and warned them.  They were fine with us again showing up.  I have a reservation for 5:00 PM EST, but I can change that if someone thinks it should be a little later.  She said make it early and you can always make it later.  If all are fine with 5:00...so be it.  6:00 might be safer, but let me know in this thread. 

 

adsm08...I think they can put up another chair or 2 if you can make it.

I'll see what I can do. A box of parts that wasn't supposed to be here for a few more days just showed up early, so I may get through this batch of work faster than I'd though.

 

Such are the ups and downs of a one man operation.
