raywilson12 8 #6 Posted April 4, 2019 @The Tool Crib I looked. There were a few but it seems you guys dont like the techys lol Mostly kohler
Pullstart 67,096 #7 Posted April 4, 2019 A Kohler can be adapted quite easily to a Tecky equipped tractor. I imagine a Kohler equipped guard could be modified for usage the other way also..

wallfish 18,244 #9 Posted April 4, 2019 The Kohler and Tecumseh belt guards are basically the same thing except the location of the mounting tab at the engine are in slightly different locations, because of the bolt pattern difference around the crank shaft of each type of engine. I have an 8hp Kohler mounted in my 654. Here's some pics The factory mounting tabs are commonly broken. They're just steel bent to a Z shape with a threaded 14-20 hole and welded to the frame

WHX?? 51,920 #14 Posted April 22, 2019 Here's a 604 and was missing the guard when it joined my herd. Found this one at he BS. Fit perfect and as luck would have it a matching patina. Didn't have the heart to change the 502 decal.

Retired Wrencher 5,847 #18 Posted May 15, 2019 (edited) 71 B. Thanks for the reply. They do dress the tractor up. I had all of these at one time. I only have one now. At my age that is enough. Edited May 15, 2019 by Retierd Wrencher
