Can somebody show me a picture or two of the underside of the gas tank tray and bracket on a 1975 C Series?

There's a bracket that has three bolt holes and is maybe 10 in Long?

1 end  is shaped like a c channel.

I'm not sure exactly where and how that bolts in and I can't look at my other tractor that has that because it's under a tarp which is under a bunch of snow.

Thank you in advance

Shoot. Sorry Paul. I forgot to specify the year. This is mid 70s with the gas tank under the hood. I'll fix the title.

Thank you for the super fast response!

It's actually underneath that.

I'm supposing it's a support that bolts at the front of that piece and then at the top of the steering column support where those two bolts hold to the bottom of part number 8 - 37.

on this particular tractor the wiring harness was held in that c channel as it came out from underneath the gas tank tray.

Only C I have from that vintage is asleep for the winter.  Don't see what you are describing on my snow horses  Charger Electros but they have similar hood stand Instrument panel gas tank support....

Yeah I don't think the older ones had it. Trina's 867 is sitting beside this tractor and it does not have that piece.

I think what I'm looking for in the diagram above is cut off at the bottom of the page.

I don't have the same diagram at home but both mine and this one are so exploded it doesn't show how that goes on.

I very much appreciate your effort. I may have to just dig the other one out of the snow.

Not a very good picture but you can see the channel under the tank holder.

If I remember right Eb, 2 bolts through the side into dash stand and tank support.  I sold tractor or I would get you better pics.

Sure can.

See, that's what I was thinking as well but they don't seem to line up right.

I'll have to see if I can find a very large heavy duty Hammer that's made out of a lot of metal and fix my problem.

That channel was used for the wiring.

Yeah that's the one. I guess my source of confusion is that you can see there is a bolt hole near the end of it ... and for some reason mine had about a 1.5 inch bolt sticking out. Maybe some previous owner was using it to hang something from.

I think that front hole is for a gas line clamp Eb.

Okay okay okay. That makes sense.

I don't really understand why the bolt was so long but maybe it was one of those... Use what you have... Situations for a previous owner.

@ebinmaine I had a tractor apart and had the same problem trying to figure where that channel was supposed to go. I bet I tried turning it over 100 times before I figured out how it attached!

Might you know of a specific reason?

Or even better yet is there a chance you could get a picture of one of yours?
