Great cabin!  How much of it did he build himself?

Did you stay for opening day?  Any more venison?

He built the cabin from ground up with the help of his son.    His son made a bandsaw mill on wheels that he takes to the tree for sawing.     They felled and sawed the trees on the farm for the cabin.     The slab siding  and rafters were made on the mill and the porch railings were made with a chain saw.

I did not stay for opening day.  My BIL had to take his wife(my sister) for a medical procedure, so he could not hunt.  So I used the rainy Monday to return home.

Then headed North Tuesday for my leased ground in Cameron  County.

Venison ??  I'll start another topic.   Wait for it Jim.

Gateway to heaven is surely an appropriate name for it.

There are couple of places that every time i pass by or am near them I always think " Lord if I am to die within the next few minutes just give me time to make it there and sit admiring their beauty while i die peacefully".

This one would also be a great place for it.
