Pullstart 59,736 #104 Posted November 26, 2019 I have 6 sets of 1x5 complete. I laid out my studs on the floor of the shop and pre-cut the ends to land on the studs. I really like what you are doing with the bathroom shower. We absolutely love ours and have used it for 10 years and change now! Pullstart 59,736 #111 Posted November 28, 2019 Rylee was a trooper and helped to whitewash all the bathroom shiplap. It’s ready once I prep the wall! I hung more Sheetrock today and decided to raise the half wall into a most-wall. This required some extra lighting in the shower area and we found these little water resistant LED buggers. Now all the exposed studs will get cement board and redguard sealed. Pullstart 59,736 #113 Posted November 29, 2019 I have as many drywall joints taped as I can, stilts at the ready and all my mud tools ready, except apparently there’s a shelf life on drywall mud once it’s opened! I have a 1/2 full tub all full of black mold . I suppose I’ll get up early and fight through all the crazies in town tomorrow morning! Pullstart 59,736 #116 Posted December 4, 2019 I’ve been dreading this step. Why? Couldn’t tell ya... I’m sure it’ll work out just fine! I need to make the first mortar bed base with slope to the drain. The drain is a 24” x 4” rectangle and I’ve been thinking of the best way to make it all work. First rule of plumbing... poop runs down hill! Well, anything wet does. I’ve watched videos and videos but probably won’t know what’s best for me until I dive in. Well, I’m jumping in! I’ll also add that I do realize the HardieBacker cement board isn’t screwed everywhere. I took advantage of my helping hand to get the sheets cut and hung.
