Operator 7 #27 Posted March 8, 2009 Well after numerous broken windows from the computer being thrown, And the wife getting a quick lesson on Photo Bucket . We/she got it for me, It wouldn't direct link but had to type in all the URL address after resizing the picture from my laptop. But now I got my Loader Avatar. Three days to get one picture, that's bad. not impressed with Photo Bucket Randy
Rollerman 290 #28 Posted March 8, 2009 Randy...seems overly complex at first. But it does get easier to use photo bucket...as long as they don't keep makeing improvements. So I haven't been to the eye Dr in a while now...is that a 988?
Operator 7 #29 Posted March 8, 2009 Yup! 988H $675,000.00 And they say they got a deal on it. One sweet loader. Randy
TT-(Moderator) 1,128 #30 Posted March 8, 2009 Awesome piece of machinery! Graymont had a 988B, 988F and a 962G when I left there a few years ago. (and a 966D, two 980C's ,and a 992C) I'm not sure I could ever get used to a loader without a steering wheel, but the "Batman" wheel in the 962 was awesome! Glad to see you finally got it tackled, Randy!
Operator 7 #31 Posted March 8, 2009 All rite TT that is what I'm liking! I really like the idea of hitting the full throttle button and having the engine run same R's all nite. Joystick steer Aggregate Industries Randy
Teddy da Bear 11 #32 Posted March 8, 2009 I just posted another topic on photobucket.....oooops! My sentiments exactly Stephen......something has changed. No longer works for me....
Rollerman 290 #33 Posted March 8, 2009 Very cool Randy....We use a newer 980 "I think" to feed the asphalt plant at work. Steped up to that size from the 966's a few years back. A 988 or bigger has to be just nuts in size the first time you walk up to it.
TT-(Moderator) 1,128 #34 Posted March 8, 2009 Some of those things are HUGE! Johnson & Morgan coal had a few electric Dart loaders that were XXXL in size. "Our" 992 had a spade nosed bucket that was big enough to load the 24/25 ton screenings (under 3/8") trucks with one scoop, and the 100 ton RR cars of kiln feed (
Nick 13 #35 Posted March 11, 2009 Have you ever watched the youtube video of a Cat 994 being hauled in Australia. In the first video they run two trucks in a push-pull then in the 2nd both are up front.
TT-(Moderator) 1,128 #36 Posted March 11, 2009 You should know that I have watched those already, Nick...... There's something about 998 cubic inches of tire-smoking V8 Bulldog helping a "big truck" up a hill that really makes me grin!
Operator 7 #37 Posted March 11, 2009 They were good video's Nick, Some years ago the Boss wanted a big loader ,He always said "Bigger is better unless we're talking women" Anyway he got us a 992 Cat came in on 4 semi's and it took Cat guys 4 days to put it together. It ended up getting shipped to MA. Randy
