Great deal on abrasive discs I found on fleabay

Recommended Posts

Just wanted to share this with the crowd here. I know there's a lot of you out there that prefer these for removing light rust and paint from metal or even other surfaces.

This is a 5 pack and they work out to $6 each. Free freight.

Lots of reviews online say they are the cat's meow of these strip discs.

I'll share my findings with you.

@Digger 66 I'll be sure to have my honey get pics for you.

First thing we're using the discs for is the trailer repaint.

Didn't spend much time on it tonight but the initial impression is great!

Trying these out this evening on the tongue of the trailer that I'm rebuilding and modifying.

I'm extremely impressed!!

These disks FAR exceed the capabilities of a good quality wire brush on an angle grinder.

The wear quality seems to be very good.

The pictures below are taken only a few minutes apart.

If you've never tried these the one thing I can tell you is that they will remove metal!

What I mean is, a wire brush does not seem to remove any metal. If there is a small flange like a worn edge or a little lip or anything, these discs will remove it.

That's great if you want to flatten out the metal because it is actually worn and your trying to fix it. Not so awesome if you're trying to keep something Sharp.

I have been using these for quite a while (not same brand). Work well for me. Faster than sandblasting on flat surfaces.
