Out Front Deck Maiden Run

Recommended Posts

I bought a NOS one years ago at the show but it was missing the mounting hardware, bought another used one and had the hardware duplicated, I think I might have lost the pieces in the shed. what I want to know is what belt does it take from the tractor to the deck. thanks

Mine has the 42 inch deck on it and the same belt I used for the out front as used for the belly. It works fine. Cut down some very tall grass. No slips.

I would like to find a similar forward frame for my 310, looks like it would be a smooth easy pusher with those swivel caster wheels. don't those decks swing up easily ?

Only the 48" deck swings up with out any thing else required.  The 42s require you to unhook the belt (not a big deal).

48SD require belt 102742

42SD  109956 Single Cylinder    102742 twin cylinder

I know of a front carrier in a CL listing in Indiana.

I have no idea how complete it may be or if it has issues........just mentioning the listing.

I am not at all familiar with the implement frame, so my good judgement about it is lacking.

If you would like to see the link, PM me and I'll send it to you.

Regards,

Steve

Got some new gauge wheels and swapped decks with another 42 I had in the back of the shed.

It works very good. And everyone was right it flips up for storage. It’s still a larger then I have space for and it will be looking for a new home shortly.

Sorry for the resurection of the other mower thread. This is the one I see on my CL.

I could see a hazard using a RD deck with this or not so?

I get it for undercutting trees and shrubs Does this make the tractor more capable? Will it fully articulate out there? Tip down & up to cut steep hills too? Will this help more like bush hog with taller grasses?

You cannot use a RD deck with this. The rear hanger wheels will not line up correctly

Squonk is correct plus the blowback would be ugly.

it does a good job cutting going up and down my drainage ditch.

I haven't been able to find one of them around here. That doesn't stop me from searching.
