neil 2,398 #26 Posted May 8, 2018 Here’s what’s kept me busy and is an ongoing project , as I am having to find some brass lamps to match the ones I have as some of the lamps don’t have any glass in them . I have spent the last weekend making the rear box to cover the engine , lined the cab area with oak , some way to go yet but she’s getting there 3

ebinmaine 63,138 #28 Posted May 12, 2018 (edited) Here's a little bit about the stage for today involving the excavation project. The wall. A couple of "before" pics and a short, "after" video. @19richie66... This is a shot from earlier in the day when I wasn't quite done getting rid of all the dirt in the bottom of the ramp area. You can see the pile of rocks on the left and also behind the trailer that is attached to the Wheel Horse. Edited May 12, 2018 by ebinmaine 1

ebinmaine 63,138 #32 Posted September 13, 2018 I hope everyone is doing well and accomplished at least one or two of the many dozen things that have been listed in this thread. It's time to go back and revisit it and see what we all did the last few months.... Or haven't... I can't believe it's been 4 months tomorrow but I finally went back and spent some time relocating the gravel and stones in front of the shed. I put in a new ramp that is very much larger and much less angle and made of pressure-treated wood. The ramp is actually a pallet that is one of two that my honey brought home from work. They bought a couple of new trash compactors and this is what they were delivered on. The first picture shows the annoyingly small and very steep little metal ramp that I've been using for the last four or five months. The best part about the little metal ramp is that the doors would not close with it in place because I didn't put the wood brackets quite low enough. Open the doors. Lift up the ramp. Do what you need to do. Move the ramp back down. Close the doors. Do you suppose that might have been just a little tiny bit irritating? Couple of progress pics in between and then the final shot. The fresh graded gravel is where I made all the changes today. now I need to finish up my orange dumping trailer so we can move the stones around with the tractors. 1
ericj 1,576 #33 Posted September 16, 2018 you need a wheel horse with a front end loader on it. I got mine a year ago and don't know how I ever lived with out it. I don't even come close to using it everyday let alone every week, but when I do it's nice to know it's there and it helps save this old back of mine eric j

I don't have the welder or skills to use one but that will be in the future for us for sure.
rjg854 10,737 #35 Posted September 16, 2018 We're coming up on the season that keeps me the busiest. I won't mention it as yet, because some don't appreciate it all that much. Myself I prefer it over the 98% humidity and the 85+ degrees this summer has been filled with. The coal boiler is a small everyday chore and keeping up with a 1/4 mile driveway makes for plenty of seat time, when needed, and sometimes just for fun.

JPWH 5,308 #38 Posted September 16, 2018 I finally finished my lathe project except for painting the stand and putting it it's permanent location. I have been using it some and now I am ready to get back on wheel horse projects again. 1
19richie66 16,942 #39 Posted September 16, 2018 (edited) Very nice Jay! Been doing crown molding, repairing old ceiling panels, everything in the hallway and bringing home more crap.... just picked up a brand new lift for my small engines and transmissions.😁 Lady in the neighborhood gave it to me. Yes it’s a human lift but hopefully mamma won’t have to lift me with it for a long time. Edited September 16, 2018 by 19richie66

The heaviest is still to come tonight and tomorrow. We’re under a flash flood and flood warning throughout Tuesday night. Storm is moving slow and it’s just now reaching us. Fingers crossed 🤞 Edited September 17, 2018 by Machineguy
