They may be OK. But....If they are correct, I think your tractor may be bassackwards. I think, :confusion-confused:anyway. Maybe not.:dunno:

May be for a rear facing passanger seat.

Doesn't look like that tractor originally had seat springs. Maybe they work better that way. IDK. :dunno:1030355611_Screenshot_2021-04-11Fullpagefaxprint-310pdf.png.e57285bcfa65814c722c06d9d0cb6e52.png

You just never know why those PO's do what they do. You'll get more spring out of them by changing them around.

Got a little more done on the 876 today. For once in my life, I was correct, unfortunately. My brake/belt tensioner linkage worked fine, until I went to put on the belt guard. Then it didn't work so fine. After a couple more hours of re-work, and a couple trips to the hardware store, I think I got something that will work. May not be "BY THE BOOK" but it works. 20210411_182118.jpg.2ce7bfb83ffaf687835fd5b43bc7e16e.jpg20210411_182130.jpg.15004caad457e307852d763038d0aa4e.jpg20210411_182145.jpg.469a090059fd78bae89cf91c5d6a6cf7.jpg20210411_164736.jpg.46ba20c4fb68faf9da28ba2510d1c48b.jpgI find it odd that the bracket that holds the fan guard in place, only has a bolt in the bottom.

Maybe it's suppose to be this way. IDK

20210411_182955.jpg.bbc4332e1d5ebfccd38fbf26ce4de5e9.jpgI didn't like the way the rubber bumpers were rubbing on the sides of the tractor. It doesn't show up well in the pic, buy I put a strip of self adhesive, clear, decal paper on each side.

The dash, and dash plate are still at the media blaster, so I may be in a holding pattern for now. I got a call from the machine shop on my motor, and I have ordered the rebuild kit.

So far I have not encountered a problem with the plate being welded on the back side of the frame. The 10 gauge I used is .102" thick. (depending on what chart you look at), so if you see an 876 with a wheel base .102" longer than normal, it's mine. :D

I checked that out Roger.  What I found is that they didn't seem to have any that were longer than 2" and I would need 4" .  Maybe I was looking at the wrong thing?

Check under "Alloy Steel Shoulder Screws"  McMaster-Carr

This is true.

They were on that way when I got it.

I don't use any seat springs on any tractors.

Notice Patriot doesn't have then or Cinnamon Horse.

I've seen others mount roundrobin bassackwareds like that in the past.

Seems they're less likely to dump the driver backwards...?

Dunno.

I don't like seat springs.
