What have you done to your Wheel Horse today?

Got a little more done on @Natejc_98 's rig this evening.

Trina reinstalled the belt guard and right step.

I got the transmission drain plug cleaned out enough to righty tighty / lefty loosey repeat repeat repeat repeat  and dropped the nasty fluid. I've seen worse.

It'll do with a short hours repeated flush and new fluid again.

I also relocated the solenoid wire we were using for testing purposes. We had it laying around and over the gas tank. I got the harness loosened up enough to add it along side the factory taped up set and installed 3 terminals in it.

What's left.......?

Install hood.  Refill transmission and replace shifter boot and drain plug.

And.......????

I got started on patching the boy's deck tonight. Of course while I was grinding the welds down to inspect them the neighbor came over to complain that the compressor was too loud and it had "been loud for a really long time".

She is a stay at home mom who was trying to sit outside and read, which she can do at almost any time she wants. I work about 50 hours a week and get, maybe, 1.5 hours a day that I can actually work on these projects. Most days its closer to 45 minutes. I finished my grinding, filled in the one spot I found that I missed, and quit for the night because I was ready to be done anyway.

I'm hoping the next patch can be cut out with the plasma cutter because it will be much faster, and less air-intensive, and it's supposed to be HOT again tomorrow. The one I did tonight was too far from any edge and I don't have pincer clamps that would reach that far, so I had to use the grinder.

I get it. Our neighborhood is a little closed in for my tastes, but it's what we could afford.

We usually get along with these neighbors pretty well, but when left to her own devices this woman is the kind of busy-body that got us things like the temperance movement.

So you have a neighborhood "Karen"

Few years ago we moved into town off of 14acres. It was a big change but due to my girlfriends health issues shes unable to drive so we needed to be where transportation is available for her Dr appts.

Fortunately, we have great neighbors.  My driveway is really close to house on right side.  Shes retired clerk of court for our town & really nice lady. Shes not outside much but has a 5yr old Pug that just doesn't shut up! I dont ever say anything or complain because shes never complained about me making noise in garage or driveway. She told me I dont need her permission to drive up thru her back yard to easily access my trailer. Shes 82yrs old & I know she wont be my neighbor forever......I try to be respectful of time of day etc. Nice to have thas sorta "understanding"

My two neighbors are some of my literal family members so we get along great. And neither like myself, care if something gets moved in or around. An example being having temporary parking spot for a trailer etc… things are going great.

I replaced the solid pipe on my grease gun nozzle today with a hose, allowing me to grease the other 2 spindles on my 42" SD deck.  It is ready to go back on the tractor.

However, I noticed that the grass is really dry and crunchy.  Won't be worth the effort to mow, as the only thing to cut is the taller weeds.

Got to sharpen the blades I took off and put them on the shelf, ready for the next time.

I also splurged and bought a 6 liter ultrasonic cleaner from Harbour  Freight.  I've got several carbs lined up for cleaning.

What are you guys out there who have ultrasonic cleaners using for cleaning fluid?  Lacquer thinner? Simple Green? Beaman's carb cleaner?  Do you run it hot or cold?

In all reality, the seat I took off is more comfortable. But it's getting torn up. I've had it over 20 years.

I did the same thing to my grease gun years ago and it made life so much easier. I actually put a 3 foot hose on mine which allows me to be able to hold the coupling end on the zerk and lay the gun on the ground and use it with the other hand. Works great. The down side is it takes almost a half of tube of grease to fill the hose LOL.

Found a NOS shifter decal on eBay to replace my old one. Most of it was worn off. Didn’t bother me much since I had learned the gear pattern but if the wife or kids use it they’ll be able to quickly see it.

I use two 1/8" street ells as a universal joint on mine.     I can get on some pretty tight zerks and still have a rigid pipe that helps to push it on the zerk.
