Major cleaning of the recently acquired 314H.

You went that far I hope you pulled the gas tank and cleaned the crud under there.  You can clean the cooling fins easier and the dirt between the seat mount and gas tank causes rust.

@lynnmor  interesting opportunity , did it years ago ,cleaned out my tanks , replaced all  fuel lines , cleaned out fuel bowls , filter at  tank start  and just before carb , started adding  STA BIL  FUEL STORAGE , an ounce or two , to every related tank top off , guess what ? not a speck of crud in any related fuel area , instant starts , no carb issues . a clean tank is the FOUNDATION  of  fuel start , I also  use  regular  leaded gas , the emphasis of this experiment  , was the clean fresh start , also have clean  fuel rated hose up to carbs ? I can see the clear  fuel going to carb , perfect  REPEDITIVE PROBLEM , TO  TRY  ELIMATATION ON . also have it on my stand by gen , STA BIL  in that tank , related hose , clean and clear , instant starts .   think the IRONY  of this , is the solid reliability  , thats easy to set up . this led me to try  ,similar  failure areas , like pto lever , set up , you are looking right at it . pete

Yep gas tank was pulled and cleaned out. Fan was removed to make sure all the crud was removed. This was one of the crudest tractors I’ve ever seen. After I was finished with the pressure washer I ended up throwing my shirt and shorts away. They were beyond cleaning.
