kpinnc 17,072 #25401 Posted February 8 After removing the balance gears from my Bronco 14 a while back, the oil pan developed a pretty big leak. I didn't have a gasket at the time, so I had made one and it just didn't work. So today I pulled the engine and replaced the gasket. Gonna do some touch up on the engine before reinstalling. My Bronco looks sad with so many parts missing... 2

c-series don 11,276 #25404 Posted February 8 As I predicted, all this snow is due to the fact that @Ed Kennell sold his Ber Vac blower 🤣 1 1
pfrederi 19,810 #25405 Posted February 8 I think we should take up a collection to help @Ed Kennell buy another two stage. Save the rest of us a lot of snow work next year 2 1

Not my fault your tractor puked and you can't use it. So let's blame this nasty weather on Mike.

c-series don 11,276 #25411 Posted February 8 Today I swept the two or so inches of snow that fell last night after I blew off about three inches yesterday. This is the first time in years I’ve used my sweeper to clean snow. Now that I’m retired from the snowplowing business I have time to mess around with this stuff. I used to come home from working and go to sleep. My driveway was always the last one to get done and usually a mess! It drove my wife crazy, but luckily for me she understood. One time I woke up and the driveway was plowed, I asked if she saw someone do it and she said no I did it with your truck I couldn’t wait any longer!! Anyway in this video you can see how well the sweeper works. If the snow hasn’t been driven on it sweeps it to dry clean blacktop. Obviously this only works like this in dry snow, and not slush. I also did a little clean up with the 418-C. IMG_1400.mov 6
WHX?? 54,650 #25412 Posted February 9 From the we've seen it all files. Why on earth would someone cut this off? Of all the come thru here this one has been cobbled the most. Fortunately most are easy to reverse but still.

Plows driveways, AND allows you to have as many tractors as you want, AND puts up with your shenanigans! You might know this but when installing make sure the lever goes UNDER the cam lobe. Ask me how I know ... It helps when installing to tip the lever down when inserting and "feel" it hit the cam lobe.

Handy Don 15,780 #25419 Posted February 9 26 minutes ago, Stan50 said: What could go wrong if pump would be installed improperly? No gas to carburator or something worse? Cam tries to push pump arm farther than its range of motion. I could see it ripping the diaphragm or bending the pump arm or breaking the pump arm pivot, though I’ve never experienced this personally.

We had the same issue and one was to short to make contact with the cam. Both situations I just bent the arm gingerly until they worked. That’s the problem with the China stuff. Not exactly correct but we have the knowledge to get them to work..
Stan50 79 #25422 Posted February 10 I just put it in with some resistance, Lever is pushed against camshaft? a bit so tighten the screws is little bit tricky. There is no other way to put that pump in,I can't do it differently. The tractor works OK, no leaks and no sputtering. I will watch it anyway. I don't have swift (1-2 days) access to parts so I hope that will last
Handy Don 15,780 #25423 Posted February 10 (edited) If my memory is correct, there are two different arm configurations that I’ve seen. On my K181, the arm on the metal-bodied pump that came with it rides under the camshaft. On others (301 and up ?), maybe with the newer plastic body and u-channel arms, the arm rides atop the camshaft. Edited February 10 by Handy Don
Stan50 79 #25424 Posted February 10 (edited) My serial number shows 141xxxx so this is 1984 year engine and model year 1985. This is what I could read off that K series owners manual Model year 1985 and 312-8 Edited February 10 by Stan50
