c-series don 10,446 #24701 Posted October 12 Today I did something I’ve been meaning to do for years. Take the transmission and hydraulic system out of this 416-H. I took out the wiring harness and might save the spindles and steering wheel. This tractor was given to me and was already in rough condition. I lent it to a buddy to use around his farm. He is not known for taking good care of his equipment, so that’s why I let him use this particular tractor. Well after a few years of use he called me and said it’s making a funny noise. I went there and listened to it, it was knocking like crazy. Checking the oil I found none on the stick. I was not surprised or mad because I knew this could happen with this guy. Luckily the transmission oil was full so I drove it around and it worked fine. I brought it back home a few months later and it sat in my back yard for a few more years. So I decided today was the day to finally do this and junk the rest. While I was working on it my granddaughter decided that she wanted to clean and work on her tractor too! I was absolutely thrilled to have her in the garage with me! ❤️ 3 8

I hope you're planing to save some of that stuff.
Lane Ranger 11,564 #24703 Posted October 12 Did a few things today. New wheel on my B-80 36 inch mower deck. working on a transmission to change on a RJ. Cracked the drive pulley but had a couple extras. Also put Schnacke recoil back on my new to me RJ. With one of the new 1 1/2 inch hex nuts i had made. 7/20 fine thread on both ends of the 1 1/2 inch long 7/8 hex nut. Made so you can turn it around and use again if the hex gets rounded by the three recoil fogs! 4
Bill D 2,343 #24704 Posted October 12 The floor boards on the GT series seem to be thicker than the later Toro branded machines and less prone to bending. Might be worth saving

I think that C-195 pedal tractor is shines just as good as your C-175, adorable little helper! Back to the 416-H, what do the 950 rear tires look like?
c-series don 10,446 #24706 Posted October 12 @Bill D Yes I was contemplating stripping the engine or just trying to hide the entire thing somewhere! As I said a few weeks ago though I am beginning to suffer from TMS Too Much Stuff in my life. Sometimes I look around and ask myself if I need all this stuff?!! It’s mostly Wheel Horse stuff and I have a hard time parting with things. It’s one of those things where I think if I get rid of it I’ll need it the following week! But I’m running out of space and don’t want a disorganized mess. Like most of us here I wish I had a big barn to neatly store everything in one location. @Dan 312-8 the rear tires are shot, one has an actual hole in the sidewall.

nylyon-(Admin) 8,203 #24717 Posted 14 hours ago Had my driveway repaved, the new driveway was several inches higher than the original so I needed to fill in with some top soil. Brought out the 416H hooked up the 17cu ft trailer and mover 10 yards of top soil and leveled out the driveway. Certainly back breaking work, but for the horse it was effortless. Times like this, wish I had a loader! 2

But remember your own muscle structure is "use it or lose it" Great exercise!
8ntruck 8,101 #24719 Posted 10 hours ago Looks like a dump trailer and a belly blade would have been a good combination for that job.

But back in February, my new next-door neighbor moved in. His final trip with his trailer revealed a Kubota with FEL and back-hoe. He said to me "if you ever need to use it, the keys are under the mat", or something like that.
TonyToro Jr. 2,066 #24721 Posted 2 hours ago Picked up a C-120 auto with a snowplow and wheel weights today. Started to mess with it a bit but going to need some cleaning and a few battery cables and some good needed maintanece. Picked it up from the original owner and they were looking for the manuals and such but couldn’t seem to find them. Everything seems to be there. More to come soon. 1

MainelyWheelhorse 1,944 #24724 Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Today I visually finished off my Frankenstein tractor. As I said in the updated Frankenstein thread, I bought some decals from Redo Your Horse (Terry) for the C-141 Auto.
