Today was wash and touch up day for the M &G. All three tractor got a wash, Armor All and the 308 and 312 were touched up with touch up paint. I also sanded down the C-141 hood smoother as I was on the fence about doing it and wasn’t thrilled with how it turned out last time. I figured I’d try again.

My weeds don't care witch way I mow them, they just grow wet or dry don't make much difference.  I mow them short, so they look more like grass. Every time the State resurfaces the road they come back fill in beside with trash that came out of a side ditch some where. Gave up on trying to have a deason lawn years ago.

We covered up the trailer full o' tractors so they'll be happy and dry.

Patiently waiting for @JCM and @Raven 's Meet n Greet in N Berwick next weekend.

Other fun was drag push pulling shoving the non running 520H from beside the workshop to the interior of it.

First we removed the mowing deck.

Looks solid.

Once in the shop I popped the rear wheel weights off.

These were originally marketed by JD and were painted their yellow 🟡 over the original white ️ base color.

They're around 50 lbs each and stackable!

I have two sets thanks to @Stepney so mebbe I'll do just that.....

After a good sanding yesterday and a bit today I resprayed the top of the hood of the C -141. Just waiting for it to fully dry to move it back from my parents. It’s coming along nicely. I’ll get pics tomorrow.

They used to be a vendor on Ebay selling new reproduction WWII Jeep cable, but members have reported the cable locking knobs he now has are junk.  So search for WWII Jeep locking cable and do some verification that they are a quality product.

You might contact these people.

Can't find anything with that number. Tell us width of cut, side or rear discharge? I see you have a 200 series with 10 HP and 5 speed transmission.  That model came with a 30" or 37 side discharge or a 36 rear discharge.

@oliver2-44 Speaking of WWII Jeeps the company Kaiser Willys that specializes in WWII Jeep parts might have those knobs. They carry a lot of Jeep parts up through to I think the CJ’s

Today I missed a spot on my painted C-141 hood yesterday so after work I tried to touch it up. That ended up needing to be peeled off to the previous layer with a lot of elbow grease, time, and thinner. I’ll try again tomorrow. Apparently spray paint and paint gun paint are different. It’s all a learning experience.

Look like run of the mill knobs to me. That's what I used on my 551

Working on mowing decks.

Rinse. Flip. Repeat.

I'll pressure wash later and coat the bottoms with used oil.

After that I took a few things off the parts 520H.

Hood. Front mule. Rear part of the blower/bagger. Rear hitch.

The hitch pin came RIGHT OUT!!

90-92  38" side discharge i think this particular spring was made for this deck that was only released for about a year

You ever get De-shoed on that thing?  I once caught my leg under a ATV that didn't have running boards, pulled me under and dislocated my knee and no one was around. 4wd ATV's are surprisingly heavy.      Lesson learned ;)

We tried.....

The back 40 out by the garden gets pretty unruly.

Trina and I both have used the C121 Hydro "Ugly Bruce" with a 36" RD deck.

Mehh.....

Push mower is easier.

Messing about with trying to start/ run/drive the 520H.

Got the wiring connected.

Turns over great.

Fuel filter was cracked so I took th air cleaner off and changed the lines and filter from pump to carb.

Here's how it WAS connected.

20250906_122835.jpg.5ae724fdb66790e0d16f9d5249b898bd.jpg

Yes that's right side up.

No it's not correct.

I can't flip the pump because the holes are offset.

Here's how it IS NOW.

20250906_134132.jpg.a0a0f85969f68e42d08371edc3d45342.jpg

I want to believe that I have it connected right. But I don't. Or the fuel pump is not pumping enough.

The way it sits right now I cannot use the primer to push fuel through.

If I reverse the bottom two which makes it theoretically connected backwards, I can use the primer to fill the carburetor and it will run for a minute or two but then die when it's out of fuel because it's not sucking through the pump.

Thoughts comments questions suggestions?

I'll try again tomorrow...
