I see I'm going to have some real fun here, a lot of you guys have your noses very close to your gas caps!

I don't want to wear that one out, that is something I probably will never experience again, or anything close to it. Standby though.

How in the HE double hockey sticks do you find them past threads so fast Richard?

I remembered that @Achto had done this thread, did a search for Dan AND muffler and just went down the list of returns until I found the thread I wanted. Works most of the time. Takes a few minutes but I'm not going anywhere anytime soon so why not help the guy out.

Well done, Richard.

Definitely very helpful and important to remember the word AND while searching.

I just bought a gallon of WD40 rust remover but haven't tried it yet. It's a little different, you use it till it's no longer effective and turns black. That gel looks like it works well I'll put it on my list.

@ebinmaine   thanks for the shout , thats what I  was thinking , often refer  to  related parts / views that are not w/h specific , yet  they are in the zone of possibility . been doing the adaption to problems  for years , rarely had the  exact part .  so for me just the idea to repair  and improve , is the way to go . imagine daring to replace a   TRUNNION  WITHA HEIM JOINT ?  trunnion  failures are based on the hair pin clip failure , which is based on the angular side pull to that sloppy fit . why not have a fitting that is total and smooth in its function ?  go greasy , pete

I'd be surprised if the hitch alone adds 65 lbs but maybe...

You're right @ebinmaine receiver alone weighs maybe 15 lb, not sure where I got 65 from

It's okay if you're thinking is a little ambitious.

Hmmm. I KNEW it. So this is where you’ve been hiding it! The old fake gas can, hide it in plain sight trick.

:text-yeahthat:  A friend of mine had an old hydrochloric acid bottle.  Had a 1/2 gallon size, brown glass, label still on it.  He cleaned it well, stored whisky in it and kept it in the paint locker in his garage.

Didn’t do anything to my WH today…but…my shed has taken a beating the last couple years and sometimes leaks. I put a new tarp on the shed this fall, today it rained hard so all I did was check the shed and tractors to make sure they were dry.
  :handgestures-thumbupright: All dry!

I'm guessing those lactose pills you took earlier gave you some pep to get off the couch to go out and look!

Had put off fixing my leaky front tire on the 310-8, since it’s like a spring New Year’s Day here in NY, seemed like the best time to get’er done
