The tool pouch could be secured in there better. I might try something else like maybe a roll up pouch

Nice idea.

Might try a bicycle seat hanging bag type thing too.

I hooked one of them up to the lawn roller and tried to smooth things out a bit before it starts to get too hard out. A7DF77B2-A385-4E52-B661-725311C8DABA.jpeg.957f5d6e2891dbb268e9c289026af76b.jpeg28045B99-C1D6-4B08-A2AA-6D834CB2A42B.jpeg.159d240b4452cb77fdeb020c3347aa8f.jpeg

Went to my cousins and he welded up the broken drag bar on one of the trailers I picked up last week. Its a nice trailer. Heavy duty and made of composite decking so it wont rot. Having an issue with a hitch on the 857. It has a slot hitch on it. I do not plan on removing the plow so with the plow lifted the hitch points up. I have the trailer hooked on with a chain until I can figure something else out....... Any ideas ????

Just pulled the the straight pipe off of my GT-1100 and replaced it with the stock muffler (certain members of my household didn't like how loud it was).

Maybe a double mount...

Find the longer bolt in an Agri Store with 2 Splints and mount the Hitch and the rear attachement hitch together.

works for me and even if you lift the Attachement hitch, the Trailerhitch is untouched about.

a Zerk fitting drilled into the hole and a rusted bolt is forgotten for eternity if regulary greased.

Will make tomorrow a closer Pict from it.

Just get a regular WH hitch and run both.

Time to visit your cousin again. Unless you are going to haul concrete around, I think this would work.442726079_ballhitch.thumb.jpg.9eb0d745601523921b8279a169323592.jpg

Don't know how long that's been busted....

A broken ammeter is a great way to burn a tractor.

I'm no fan of any ammeter though I do agree they have a place.

Just not on anything I own.

What do you use instead?  A voltmeter?

Ford and GM converted to voltmeters in what, the late '60s?  Chrysler took a few more years to make the conversion.

My 86 Mustang Gt has an ammeter.

Really a useless gauge as it rarely even moves.

I just be on a Voltmeter for diagnostics.

A Standart battery ( VRLA or AGM Type ) have something about 12,2-12,8V in idle depending on it’s charge.

A VRLA a battery with 12,8 is fully charged, 12,2 is empty. Between is idle (12,5V is about half)

While charge it raises up to 13,8 or up to 14,4V

The logic is that simple as it sounds.

if voltage raises, there is a charging, if voltage drops, there is a consumption that simple.

if voltage raises on running Engine and drops after i.eg. Switch on the lights,

than the lights drops more power than the charging system can deliver.

a simple but usable estimation. Voltage should be normally allway‘s over 12,2V

to check it exactly i use an clamp ammeter for Service purposes but in daily use i see no sense for an Ammeter

except on electric Attachements with high Current consumption.

This estimation works exact enough for me.

As far as batteries go, it seems they are not all created equal. Several weeks ago, I bought a Continental brand 12V, 230CCR, garden tractor battery. I just wanted a small battery on my work bench for testing purposes. I rebuilt a Lawn Boy electric starter, and wanted to test it. Hooked up the battery. It would spin, but it was never going to start a motor. I think the battery was at 12.8V at the time. I also have a battery for a little ride on toy the grand kids use when they are here. I tried that battery. It's much smaller than the Continental battery, and I don't remember the voltage, but it spun that little starter right over. So it seems 12V isn't always equal, when it comes to batteries. Or maybe I got a dud.

Ripped this botched up 606 with HY3 lift apart for a parts machine. Will be using a lot of the parts for my 657 build

I'll bet!!

I'd love to see more pictures and information on that one. That's got to be a rugged bugger with that engine in there.

@JCM Jim is pretty fond of his big Kohler twins too.

she’s a tight fit, need to get the exhaust fit in there a little better and the hood barely touches the air cleaner

May have to raise the front of the hood a little bit.

That's what was done in 1974 on the c-160 with the Tecumseh engine.
