Snow plow attachment

Recommended Posts

Hello guys (again),

I have a snow plow attachment. Now before anyone says anything, I will get the model number of it, but it seems to me to be missing some parts.

It looks as though the shovel has the functionality to go up and down, and it looks like it can rotate on a swivel by a cable.  It looks as though the cable broke apart and I am tying to figure out how it all works. Any help is much appreciated

This should get you going in the right direction.

Ok..the "cable" is just a heavy length of wire - or cable - if you prefer - by squeezing on the lever on the upright handle, it pulls a pin out of the front section letting the blade angle, left or right - the 1/2 inch rod at the bottom does the work with the handle.. The drawing shows no. 17 as being the head cylinder or something like that..not a very good description..  :twocents-02cents:

Sometime in the early 2000's they eliminated the triangular pivot plate mounted on the frame. It had one rod going up to the hand lever and one going to the release pin. The later style just had a cable, much like a choke/throttle cable, from the hand lever to the release pin. If you post a picture we could tell you what you have. :)

I used 1/8" rod, purchased at Lowes. Cut and bent as needed, piece of cake.  :handgestures-thumbupright:

Howdy everybody! I've got a Wheel Horse 310-8 set up for plowing snow. Wheel weights, chains etc. Ive been plowing with it all winter ...but I don't know if I'm doing it right. I usually run it in third gear "HI range" and just Give er'!  Is it better to use 2nd gear?  I don't have anyone to ask about the right way to run a plow tractor, so any advise would be appreciated.  I don't want to break anything if i can help it.

      Thanks , Dave W

Hello, I'm looking for a plow blade and snow blower to fit a C-160 or 1973 8hp no name. How can I tell if they will fit my tractors when I see pictures of them? I see a blade not too far from me on craigslist but the seller doesn't know if it will fit either. Here are the pictures. It looks like I would need other parts if it could fit but this is $60 and an hour drive. Anyone know if it would fit and is worth the time and money? I'm in South East Ohio.

This H20-H is in great shape and has 573.9 hours.  It was used and maintained up until 2 years ago when our grandfather passed.  He purchased it around 18 years ago from it's original owner with a collection of attachments including the snow plow.  He used it to mow his one acre in Effort Pennsylvania.  I was shocked by the low hours but the lot is very small and grass mowing season is fairly short up here.  He kept it maintained very well and never complained of issues or failures.  It started, idled, and mowed grass very well up until he last rode it.  Since then no one has attempted to start it.  In the pictures below you can see exactly how we found it as we started cleaning his property, we only put air in the tires.  We don't know when it was last serviced or how old the blades, belts and battery are.  We can assume that it will need at least the fuel drained and fresh put in and a new battery.  I would take this for my own property in Georgia but the logistics and cost to move are too much for my family at this time.  I'm sad to see it go but want it to go to someone who will put it to good use and take care of it as he did
      .
Please look over the pictures as this is the only information we really have about the tractor. We could not find any paperwork that he may have kept.  The sale also includes a tow behind rake and aerator.  There is a trailer also that we can negotiate when you see it in person.

This ad was posted 8/12/2017.  The sale of this tractor needs to happen very soon as the property is being sold in August.
      Thank you for looking.

I have for sale a very lightly used 48" front blade for a Wheel Horse garden tractor. This will fit a wide variety of models. It comes complete with everything except the quick attach bracket. This has had very little use in town on a small driveway. You'll be hard pressed to find one in nicer condition. Also included are a pair of tire chains. Was asking $250 reduced to $200. Don't have tractor anymore. Would like to see someone put it to good use and get it out of my way. Can ship if absolutely necessary but would prefer local pickup.
Cash only; no trades. If it's still listed, it's still for sale.
