It's a well-known fact that these beasts seemingly multiply on their own.

Me thinks you need a Black Hood in your herd... might know of one that could make a one-way trip...

They also have something in common with owning a cat: once you have one, others show up that you never saw before... :P

Of course I've never chased away a stray Wheel Horse. That would be cruel and inhumane.

Look forward to seeing what you got up your sleeve! Your work is always top notch, so it will be interesting.

Well thank you very much!

The engine choice is the only wildcard right now. I'm trying to decide if rebuilding a Kohler twin is worth it (to me) or if a repower is the way to go. Just not sure yet...

Reminds me of a quote:

Right is right even if no one is doing it; wrong is wrong even if everyone is doing it.

This applies even at @Pullstart's after one to many curds and some unsupervised wrenching by them Wisconsin Boys...

Got the hubs pulled off today and everything is in great shape keyways axle keys all of it.

Not even sure I will want to pull it apart when I get to this tractor as I don't think any of the bearings are bad either axle bearings still feel tight. The only reason for me to pull it apart is replace the limited slip spring and just to see the condition of the gears.

But I have a question on seals has anyone had experience using the napa seals on these tractors

NOS 11050 napa seal is called a manual steering pitman arm seal.

Specs are

Inside Diameter    1.125
Outside Diameter    1.379 in
Width    0.125

Specs on cr/skf 11050

Shaft diameter 1.125 in
Housing bore diameter 1.3752 in
Seal width 0.125 in

Is that .0038 of a difference in outside diameter enough to not work?

NOS 7410 napa seal

Inside Diameter 0.75

Outside Diameter 1.004 in

Width 0.125

Cr/skf  7410

Shaft diameter 0.75 in
Housing bore diameter 0.9988 in
Seal width 0.125 in

Same thing outer diameter is different

Is that because one is actual seal outside diameter and the other is the bore diameter?

NOS 6105 napa seal

Inside Diameter    0.625
Outside Diameter    0.816 in
Width    0.094

Cr/skf 6105

Shaft diameter 0.6252 in

Housing bore diameter 0.8118 in

Seal width 0.094
