bob54 12 #1 Posted October 3, 2017 Anyone know the size of the snap ring on the crankshaft Part number 518–0014 1 Ring, Retaining. It's number 2 on the parts diagram . So far I know it's smaller than 1 1/2 and bigger than 1 1/4. I need one ASAP and hoping if I can find out the correct size I can go pick one up. Thanks all
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 10,503 #2 Posted October 4, 2017 I can't find the 518-0014 retaining ring anywhere but they are usually sized by the diameter of the shaft they are used on - not the diameter of the ring. Garry

cleat 4,985 #4 Posted October 4, 2017 If it is metric then 1.25" is around 32mm and 1.5" is around 38mm. So measure the diameter of the inside of the snap ring groove and see if you come up with a number between 32 and 38 mm.
Searcher60 208 #5 Posted October 4, 2017 Something that important? Just get it from your local Cummins Truck parts department. Why would you take somebody's guess on a part like that?
