The bigger caps I've seen at the show at 40-60 ea and the smaller ones $25-40 ea.

They are worth whatever somebody is willing to pay. FWIT...I paid $135 for my set that were never mounted. I also have another set, older and in a little rough shape, that people have made me really good offers on. I just won't part with either set.

WHX??

Go look and see what they get for them on Ebay Russ ...you might want a seat belt on yer barstool so you don't fall off. Heard tell they don't exactly make them anymore so what ever you paid was worth it. As far as how they would look on a 'burban??? They look great on ANY :wh:!!!

I use chrome polish rubbed in with aluminum foil.

To get the rust in stamped in areas that are hard to do by hand I use a tiny wore wheel on a dremel tool with chrome polish and it comes out good.

Finish off with a couple coats of carnuba wax and they stand a good chance of looking like new.

Condition is everything... I wouldn't be one to say that Ebay sets the market value on items, hubcaps included. I have seen what they go for on Ebay at times and then I have seen people trying to get Ebay prices for them at the Big Show, they wind up sitting on their table and probably brought back to the next yrs. show. I needed a set of rear hub caps too match a very nice set of front caps that Redsquare member Van gifted to me. At the show I found a set of rear caps in beautiful shape for 50 bucks.. I couldn't get that 50 out of my pocket fast enough... He probably would have taken less but I'm not one to insult when a gift is lookin me in the face..

Thanks for the cleaning tip Cleat.... I have a set on the honeydo list that needs to be cleaned!

I'm sure there is a thread in here somewhere on painting the stamped in area... anybody ever try their hand at that?

Does anyone know where to pickup new baby moons?

I have one WH set, like them. Periodically I take them off and WD-40 the insides while the Grandsons clean the wheels. :handgestures-thumbupright:

WD-40 removes moisture. Inside the cub caps pit and/or the little spring clips could rust.

Under the hub caps grass, moisture, dirt. Clean and then put some WD-40 spray on the lug nuts.

WD? Water displacement.

Hub cap mounting clips do make marks.

I sold a set of the older style caps in very nice condition at the show for 100 bucks.. I started at a higher price and sat on them for a while but no one was interested. I think when it comes to smaller items that are easily shipped you will pay a bit more for them on Ebay..
