Identify Part?

This is on my 701.  It's fastened to the frame through the hole that mounts the hood on the front.  It's threaded, and I was thinking it was how the hood gets mounted, but if won't line up when the hood is in place.  And I can't find this part on the parts list. It's the piece with the bottom portion sitting inside the frame, and has tabs that sit on the frame side rails on both sides,  just below the coil.

It WAS spot welded to the hood.

Ok, that makes sense since I see where the spot welds are on this piece.  Thanks.

Its very common for those to break off. I've had a couple broken ones.

just retact weld it and it will be like new.

While its loose, some good pictures and measurements are in order.... someone was just asking for them the other day.... I'll see if I can find it.

I'll try and get those dimensions this evening or tomorrow morning.  I'm assuming he wants dimensions of the part I was asking about, and maybe the tab on the hood itself.

I figured out why things don't line up.  Steve replaced the hood with a good one.  The previous hood had the tab broken off and it was still fastened to the tractor.  The replacement hood had the tab still intact, except the threaded hole wasn't threaded anymore and stripped out.  Mystery solved.  And here is the dimensions of the hood tab from the broken off one from the original hood.
