Need a fair price

Recommended Posts

We are thinking of selling our '84 310-8. It will idle but that is all, it's having a carb issue, and has lived outside so it's not prestine or anything. What is a good price range? I'm in southern Missouri so it won't be super high I know.

@amorris88 1st of all :WRS:

Pictures will tell a better story on what your machine is worth, and any attachments that go with the sale.

I just purchased a 310-8 this weekend.  No deck, some rust, wrong seat bracket but with a good seat,  undersized rear tires (12-6), 2 year old battery, no lights or bezels, but it does run good.  Owner said $150  ....   I gave him $150.  And got 2 extra rear wheels.

I sold one pretty much in the same condition that you described for $150 and it didn't sell very quickly. Good luck

310's are not in high demand at all. 150 is a good price. Its just they lack in power and you can only put a 42" on them.

@KC9KAS, thank you!!

@N3PUY, the condition of ours is about like yours but we do have a deck with normal sized tires.

When it is running, it's a beast!

If it has been living outside, and not run in awhile, the first thing I would do is empty the fuel tank and put some fresh fuel in it.  Also check the fuel filter.  It may just be a fuel problem, not a carb problem.  Might make it easier to sell.

Thank you but I'm pretty sure it's not. I came looking on this site late last summer and again earlier this summer. Everything I've found says the jets are clogged. We have drained the fuel repeatedly and it doesn't make a difference. It will start and run but you can't do more than just idle.
