TDF5G 2,073 #1 Posted October 27, 2015 Please see my post under WH Tractors "YIPES! Bought another one!" that I recently posted for the rest of the storyMy uncle has this spike harrow, actually it's mine, I just have to go back and get it. He used it for his garden and around the farm with his WH. I have no idea what brand it is. It's been outside for it's entire life it appears. I looks like possibly it may have orginally been painted green, but it's hard to tell. I've done some research on the internet and I cannot identify it myself. I found pics of a similar one on google images but the hitch part is different. Anyone know for sure?Thank you, Todd
gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,512 #2 Posted October 27, 2015 (edited) Took this from a 1955 Montgomery Ward catalog. At the time Midland and Simplicity supplied the walking 2-wheel tractors. Edited October 27, 2015 by gwest_ca
CasualObserver 3,411 #3 Posted October 28, 2015 @TDF5G Thanks for posting this.@gwest_ca Thanks Garry!! I've had one of these kicking around for years and never bothered to try to find out what it was from. Some previous owner cobbled the hitch to fit a slot hitch, and it works well behind a Wheel Horse.

TDF5G 2,073 #5 Posted October 28, 2015 (edited) @TDF5G Thanks for posting this. @gwest_caThanks Garry!! I've had one of these kicking around for years and never bothered to try to find out what it was from. Some previous owner cobbled the hitch to fit a slot hitch, and it works well behind a Wheel Horse. I saw this pic on google the other day. It's the same, but the hitch looked a little different. Thank you to gwest, your pic appears to be an exact match. And thanks to everyone here for your help. $19.95? Wow you couldn't ship it for that or buy the gas to pick it up for that today! gwest_ca-(File Mod) 11,512 #6 Posted October 28, 2015 Did some more checking.Montgomery Ward sold the 5642 spike tooth harrow 1953-1956.The ones Simplicity sold on their own were completely different 1948-1964.The one in the photos was likely supplied by Midland and believe their paint was green.Garry
