Sparky-(Admin) 19,602 #1 Posted September 5, 2015 Ok...maybe not Evel Knievel quality, but it'll get my tractors in and outa the shed. My old ramp rotted out and wasn't safe for a 600# plus tractor. Built this today with new pressure treated stringers and some sort of composite decking that was left over from a friends deck project. Before someone points it out, the stringers are not evenly spaced on purpose. stringer's #2 and #4 are 30" apart (just like the wheelbase of my tractors ) this keeps the weight of the tractor always over a stringer.I know this is a lame topic but hey....its what I did all day for my tractors!Mike.........

elcamino/wheelhorse 9,066 #13 Posted September 6, 2015 The idiots on Craigslist do not know if the motors they are selling are horizontal or vertical shafts ( I have been looking at those also ) or if they run.
rmaynard 14,923 #14 Posted September 6, 2015 @Hank01 Put some risers on those new steps and most people won't even know what's underneath. Nice job.@Sparky Nice ramp. Just watch those composite decking boards when they are wet. I have seen them get pretty slick, especially if they have a little mildew (green stuff) on them. Don't want you sporting the RedSquare red hard hat next year.
