Anyone near Plattsburgh? Glens Falls? Burlington?

Recommended Posts

I know there was a Member Search feature and that feature is expected again but until then, anyone live near Peru, NY?  Or Plattsburgh?  Glens Falls?  Burlington?  I bought some stuff from Baerpath, and SO very glad I did but it took about 3 hours one way!  Would be nice to know if another enthusiast lived within a couple of hours or closer?

I was going to say Squonk was in Waterloo, but I've been thinking Waterloo was Watertown all this time! He is closer to me than to you.  :)

Yeah, NYS is BIG!  And long east to west!
By the way, is it Western New York PC Repair?  I've been building or fixing my own since the 80s.

I thought I had done this before, but maybe I'm getting old...
How do I edit the message title?  I need to add an "s"!

Yes, I repair computers, printers, point of sale equipment, install and maintain wired and wireless networks, etc.

Cool!  You and I have even more in common!  When's the last time you swapped out a board on one of your WHs?

Aldon

I am 2 hours down 87 from you so a little closer.

And I lived in Alburg Vermont for several years at one point. We spent a lot of time in and around Plattsburgh.

The Italian eatery next to highway is one of the wife's favorites. Mangia I believe.....

I barely have time to mow the lawn. I had a whole list of things to do in the yard this summer. The wife's broken thigh put all that on hold.

I've been keeping an eye on you!  <grin>  You got some stuff I like and you aren't that far away!
I've made 2 trips to Alburg for WH stuff.  Been through many a time!
My youngest son worked at Mangia's.  Unfortunately for unknown to me reasons, they closed.  Great food and seemed busy, but...

Thanks for the shout!

I hear ya!  Three broken bones around here in the past few years!  A real schedule buster!
Oh, I was poking fun at "swapping boards"!
Good luck to you and yours!  Some things will just have to wait!  (I'm still trying to catch up...)

I was just thinking today about putting an 8" touch screen and a mobile PC in one, but couldn't think of any good reason. Don't really need GPS.  :)

I could use it for music, I guess, but it really seems like s lot of work just for music.

It it would be hard to find a spot for the monitor too

Let's take some time (when we have it!) and we'll work out something!  Yeah...

I havent had the time to do anything about it yet but tossing my ideas around:

This one was soundly voted down, but still has neat ideas that may be implemented somewhere:

@Forest Road:  We both live in the same Park!  But I guess with 6 million acres that doesn't really make us neighbors...

Where abouts in the AP?

Gadds!  The depth of knowledge here just keeps getting deeper and deeper!  That's a neat display!  I have a couple Arduinos here and a bunch of sensors!  I don't really know what to do with them but I got 'em anyway!
So what's going on with the sensor display?

I think SaveOldIron just photoshopped (painted?) that display to represent what a display might look like if it were implemented.

I have not had a chance to do anything with my ideas yet. I have two little ones running around taking away much of my project time.
