C 121 stalls, floods

My engine floods and stalls when I am on a hill mowing, leaning to the left and it is not much of an incline. Any ideas?

i would check the fuel pump and clean the carb to start.

The float will do this if there is gunk in the bowl. Give the carb a good cleaning as suggested above!

My '74 B 80 does the same thing. Runs great on level ground but when starting up an incline, stalls, blows black smoke and sometime just floods out and dies. I've done everything short of rebuilding or replacing the carb but nothing has fixed the problem. I think maybe a new carb is the best and maybe the easiest fix. :eusa-think:

I was looking at a carb rebuild on the Tube, and this guy was making sure the float was level, could this be an issue if the problems are on hills and ok on flats?
Maybe if the float is say to high when going up a slope this could cause it to flood?
I'm pulling at straws here, but maybe someone might know if this can happen?

It ended up being the float was full of gas. I replaced it. Runs awesome. Thanks for the input.

C - Series, Hood and Sheet Metal (square black insert) (also known as black hood models) for sale!

This sheet metal set, including C Series Hood, Dash piece, Seat Bracket, and Left & Right-Side Covers, and Left & Right Floorboards was sandblasted, epoxy primed, and painted the OEM Wheel Horse Red Paint.

The painted set is not perfect, a little metal pitting on one of the floorboards, a few little imperfections in the paint here and there as I'm a rookie painter, but this is a nice painted set of sheet metal to freshen up your C Series Wheel Horse!

I have a WH 300 series with a Kohler Magnum 10 engine and I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get the choke cable and linkage set so it will work. The numbers on the engine label  are worn off the, so I cannot give anyone that information. Does anyone have a picture or can you head me in the right direction.

My arm for the linkage assembly is set at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock if that helps. There seems to be several different linkage rods for this engine.

      Thanks
