Got a new 12v a tv 2500lbs winch for free from a buddy, how should I mount it to the trailer? 6x8 landscape style trailer from TSC

From a trailer manufacturer that I spoke to recently, don't mount it to the top rail. Either a bracket to raise it off the floor inside the trailer, or to not lose space on a bracket over the tongue.

 

I plan on mounting a winch on my new trailer using a HF bumper hitch to make it removable. I have been looking for a small roller for the rear edge so that the cable doesn't drag across the floor.

Mine is mounted right in front of the bed, like this.

I mounted mine on a boat trailer winch tower that I welded to the cross member. Sorry no pics.
