Vinylguy 4,666 #2 Posted January 27, 2015 Looks like we may lose contact with some of our members tonight? 30 inches of snow with the winds they are predicting is unimaginable to me. Come on spring.

stevebo-(Moderator) 8,060 #6 Posted January 27, 2015 Mixed forecast now... I am waiting for the 10 pm news ... either way I am ready to go!
baerpath 517 #7 Posted January 27, 2015 Nothing up here Not even a flurry. Son ran doubles to NYC last night What a joke clear roads down and back even though 87 was closed. I'm old even if what they predicted happened it wouldn't be enough to park for
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,060 #8 Posted January 27, 2015 We are getting snow here in western CT but final estimate is 8-12" vs. 18-28" in the eastern part of the state...
Forest Road 594 #9 Posted January 27, 2015 12-18" predicted here in Bergen County NJ. There's a whopping 3-4" out there. I'm a lineman for an electric utility and we're forced in for 16hours a day right now. We'll welcome these BS storms all winter long! Thank you Lord!
Ken B 3,116 #10 Posted January 27, 2015 Lately they like to put driving bans into effect. Total nonsense. I can see if we really did get 2 or 3 feet but to close the roads when there is less than a foot? I can see the highways being closed but local roads is ridiculous. The main reason's they are closing the roads these days is lets face it, #1 to save money! I'm sure safety is a secondary concern because so many drivers these days have no clue how to drive on a dry road, forget roads with snow on them.. I'm lucky I work for a company that pays me for the day off without having to make the day up.. I just hate when the Governor gets on TV and tells me its for my safety. B.S. motor12 367 #11 Posted January 27, 2015 I miss the snow, living in central Texas we may go years without a flake, once and a while some freezing rain and that sucks.
Sparky-(Admin) 19,703 #12 Posted January 27, 2015 Hard to measure what we ended up with because of all the drifting but I have about 14"-20" of new snow here. My small town has two pickups and two dump-trucks for snow removal.....we now have two pickups and ONE dump-truck!! Saw this about an hour ago (sorry, cheapie cell phone pic thru my truck window) The driver was out and talking to another driver so I'm thinking no injuries. Its only on its side so maybe it could be pulled back over and get back to work ?? Mike.............
AMC RULES 36,961 #13 Posted January 27, 2015 LOL! Yeah...that'll buff right out.
stevebo-(Moderator) 8,060 #14 Posted January 27, 2015 We got about 6-8 inches here in my home town. Being up here on the hill it is very windy so the snow drifts ended up being much higher and many areas much less.
squonk 39,191 #15 Posted January 27, 2015 LOL! Yeah...that'll buff right out. If it won't buff out head to Napa and get a couple of gallons of CUZ. Have them put them on the paint shaker so the mix is nice and creamy. Tip truck to other side. Cut open the tubes of hardener and dump them in the CUZ. Stir quick with a drill and paint mixer and just pour it in!
Sparky-(Admin) 19,703 #16 Posted January 27, 2015 Couple snaps of my drive and front yard. Nice and fluffy so it was easy to clear. Mike..........
