Camping and road trips

I usually spend two weeks each month at a lake when it's warm. If I'm feeling boxed in when it's cold I'll hop in the car and head for points south but mostly west to NM. or AZ. but the price of gas has put a crimp on that :banghead:

I bet NM and AZ would be a good place to see in the colder months. Always thought it would be nice to visit the Southwest but have never made it West of Nashville TN.

Also never did the camping thing but do like a good road trip. Several times a year I take a drive to Ohio Amish country, come home with some cheese at least. Then 8 years ago I went to a wedding in Gatlinburg and since then Ive went back to the area 8 or 10 times. Should take a drive down this year while the leaves are in peak color. Cant hurt to run past the Cherokee casino again also. :banghead:
