What Are You Listening To?

I'm not sure that Robyn and her band really knew what it was about either!

Yeah,  180° is the truth!

Not being critical of anyone here in particular but as I touched on in my other thread, lyrics tell a story. It’s not always a “ lovy dovy “ thing. In fact very rarely it is. Most listen to a song but never really find out what the story being told is. A lot of to be heard and understood if one takes the time to hear what is being said. The “groove” is what captivates us but it’s almost never the intent behind the writing of the song.

I can’t figure out what this one’s about, but it’s hypnotic:

@WHX??  Not the genuine article, but as good a cover of this tune as I've ever heard:

I've been a huge fan of the Wilson sisters for a few decades.

Also REALLY appreciate rock/metal music with a full orchestra.

This song..... Wow.

Listening to Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young through a brand new music surround mixer. Both the surround mixer and album are named DejaVu! I am very lucky to have access to this brand new technology through a connection to the inventor.

The reason this is called DejaVu is that by spreading the original mix across more speakers reveals sounds that were previously "lost in the mix". It is like listening to a song for the first time.

Anyone in the DC interested in a listening party?

I certainly would be IF I were in the DC area, but I'm not.  Is there any chance this show could be taken on the road?  I mean, it sure would be fun if it happened to show up at a certain fairground in Arendtsville PA, or a nearby hotel, say around the middle of June.  It's only a couple of hours away.  Just sayin'. :music-guitarred:

I don’t even prefer the songs they played, but what a melody and a creative take in music!
