Too bad there is no water in the river. We need some rain. :) Alumnacraft Classic 165...love the boat and I am glad I ordered the Bimini top.

Sharp looking hole in the water you have there Steve. Looks great!

Getting the speed boat off the lift this week, I hope, and put it in storage. Some folks can't get them off and are pretty much screwed. Tough, tough year!

Nice! I've always had a thing for Alumacrafts since that's what one of my uncles was loyal to. Like Lund, Alumacraft uses gobs of rivets which is my preference.

If you've never had one of the new 4-Strokes or DI 2-strokes you're going to be truly amazed at how much more fuel efficient they are. I know when I switched from a carburated 2S 25-hp to an Etec 40 my fuel consumption went w-a-y down despite the extra 15 ponies.

Sharp! Can't wait to fish out of it.

Steve

Thanks guys...Steve, it is a 4 stroke with an 18 gallon tank...could last all weekend...Shelbyville this fall. :)

So my kids birthday was yesterday. I gave my Rinker to my son and my daughter and he went out on Lake Michigan last night. There was what was left of a Greatfull Dead concert that they could get close to on the water. Here is some picks of the Chicago skyline.

Very Nice Steve. I had a 14 ft. Duranautic a few yrs. ago and I put a bimini on it, It was awesome in the rain as well as the sun! AlumaCrafts are #1 in my book. I just so happen to be an AlumaCraft Junkie. This is my 1957 AlumaCraft Model R. It is a very rare boat. I sold it two yrs. ago and I've been tryin to get it back since. The motor was a worked 30 hp Evinrude. My best speed was over 38 mph, not too bad for an 11.5ft boat. Check out the video link of my current AlumaCraft. The poor kid (a good friend) with the tunnel hull has been tryin too beat me for 3 yrs. now, he built the tunnel hull from scratch with beatin me #1 on his list. Ya gotta wake up pretty early in the morning to beat me! The motor in the vid is a 1953 Evinrude SuperFastwin with a best speed of 31.5. goona post some video of your current ride?

Here is my "new" boat. Have to thank Ken B for helping me get the 1954 Johnson 10 up and running. I wonder if he did anything to speed mine up??

TJ...you are alive!!! Hope to see you at Charlotte. :)

Ken, I think I remember you posting when you got that boat and cleaned it up...very nice. Yes...video coming this fall for sure. wh500special (Steve) and I are planning on getting together for a fishing trip at Lake Shelbyville this fall. This is a huge lake for controlling flood waters on the Mississippi. Should be a ton of fun.

Nice boat Stevebo, that is all I ever wanted and I love that Johnson hanging on the back. :)

The boat was on long island sound when I bought it. I replaced both motors (at my buddies marina) and since then I put less than 10 hours run time (4 years ago). I keep it on candlewood lake which is fresh water. 3 years ago I trailered it up to newport ri and took it to block island one day.
