Lost my good friend and dad last night - Big Jim

All-

I just wanted to let those of you who knew my dad (steamfitter screename here) and members here called him "Big Jim" passed last night. He was diagosed with a rare abdominal cancer a few years back and when he found out he was considered stage 4. After 30 days in the hospital he pulled through a serious infection due to the first round of chemo. Over the past 2 years he has been doing well and living life with taking chemo one week then off one week etc. etc. Sometime in March of this year things got bad and he was very ill since then. Could not eat or drink etc etc. I have to say he was one tough person however it was a relief to see him finally let go last night.

He was a good man and I will miss him dearly. I wanted to let those of you who have been asking about him know he is in a better place.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I didn't know your father however have first hand experience in what its like to watch a parent lose their battle with cancer. I eventually did find peace in knowing that my fathers suffering was over and he is now in a better place. It is my belief that God has a special place in heaven for those who have lost their battle with cancer........May his soul and the souls of the faithfully departed through the mercy of God rest in peace!!!!
