buckeyes 191 #1328 Posted December 26, 2018 The seat is pretty bad. I think he just put a cover over it, but the rail on the underside is broken on the one side. I have so many memories of taking the C-160 through the woods hauling wood home. Countless afternoons and Saturdays working with my dad, hauling water to the back pasture for our steers, and spreading manure with a small ground driven spreader. She and I are going to get her going for light neighborhood “patrol duty”... Its a 1982 CB 125. Having been stored inside in relative warm and low humidity conditions does a lot to preserve vintage bikes, especially in this part of the country. I've got a '74 Yamaha RD 350 with '73 tank and side covers color scheme, with muffled expansion chambers which I occasionally use to zip/rip around on here locally in the late spring to late fall time frame. It's a blast to ride, extremely maneuverable, and they are unbelievably quick for their displacement. Back in the day, they would run with a 650 Triumph or BSA. More and more women are riding and I think that's great to see. I can't believe how many I see on big H-Ds here. It is in great shape except for some damage due to a past drop... Nothing a vice can't fix! These old bikes are like WH's - Simple and bomb-proof! Happy my daughter wants to plug away at it with me! Wasn't exactly a chick magnet but got me to my $1 an hour job stocking shelves. Top end was 55 mph going down hill! Was indestructible tho. Sold it when I went in the service but shoulda stuck it in storage. Never in my wildest dreams did I think 40 years later I would be piloting a 1000 lb HD down the road!
