I must admit, #4’s transmission was loaded with the help of a hoist on the back of the seller’s truck!

Yesterday my mirror was full with the dirt car.  This morning, I hope it’s a little bit less white and a lot more red.  We’ll hit the road shortly.

Three? There’s room for seven in the bed alone. That’s a fullsize truck..... he could do some serious damage to a wheel horse population

It wasn’t much too far, maybe just over a mile.  We averaged about 8 mph on the trip home... but for the wheel weights alone, it was worth the haul!  Plus a complete Kohler 12!

I dragged this one home from the winter storage area and threw it on the Big Show pile.

Yeah, what is it?  Looks like it, but there are some funny differences.  Feel free to boot me in the rear for being ignorant :ROTF:

So if all else fails, maybe the Commando 6 could be a Commando 12?  That woudn’t be such a bad deal.... seems the short frame big block sickness is going around!

Step away from the Commando..... paint the Suburban red and call it done. Work it till it dies then put it in the yard wearing Christmas lights👍

Super-C 4 me

Good Morning,

Few in my mirror this past weekend

1060900683_bushhog06.jpg.5f5f0fdc5dcb97e662719b86960b29f1.jpg

Bush Hog with Wheel Horse wheel weights :D

1031283887_bushhog03.jpg.89ce8d2d35ce32ed4ebbe1dc98151143.jpg

It's a bit ruff, but let me what I can do with it.

Second I saw a Speedex with inside rear wheel weights

949677692_speedex03.jpg.58d66dda12e61e1528fc106025c3b607.jpg

So I grabbed that tractor to :D:D

And I still had room in the bed of my truck so this little guy jumped right in.

My first at anything other than Wheel Horse.

Speedex, so I'm hearing is related to Wheel Horse. Or at least through blood, Brothers???

The Bush Hog is just a heavy duty tractor, I can't believe how thick the metal is on this tractor.

Hopefully get it running and moving again.

Both the Speedex and the Bush Hog came with plows and mowing decks.

And the Mowette Mustang, I believe my Grandfather had one of these. I used to mow his lawn all the time. Bringing back some childhood memories.

Can't wait for my next day off, :D:D:D

This is a story that starts out way before the brand name "Pond" or "Wheel Horse." It starts out with the name "Shaw." Elmer Pond and his associates, Glen Hielman and Harold Pond worked for many years for Shaw making tractors. These tractors were produced out of motorcycle and automotive parts and were made for the bigger gardens and small orchards.

After a while the three men decided to build their own tractor and go into business for themselves. Harold Pond had worked for Shaw since the 1920’s and decided that he would make a tractor known as the Speedx Model "B," and Pond garden tractor in 1938, which would be one of the first four-, wheeled garden tractors. Glen Hielman would make the "Garden Master" in 1952.
