Project: Snow Cab for 265H "My Way"

Thought I'd share what can be done on the cheap to keep yourself protected from the blow back while snow blowing. I'm going to make significant improvements in the summer. It's been cold as hell working on this in the shed! I just picked up this tractor about 3 weeks ago and I have no regrets. She's tough enough for what I need.

Materials:

1/2 conduit

1/8" plywood (4x4)

1 large 9mil tarp

2 Clear shower curtain liners

4 1x3x4' pine

Plexiglas (windshield & back)

5' Angle Iron

My buddy just made a custom cab for his Ingersol with loader out of 3/4 inch conduit and metal standing seam roofing panels. It took a while but came out really nice.

I'm in Willington and thanks for the welcome. I'll post some daytime shots with attention to detail. On my pad so typing is a chore but FYI, I don't have a garage so had to do this nights in my very cold shed. Kinda of made things up as I went along. I'm OK with the frame, just would like to make some cosmetic changes in the summer. Its not a finished but it is certainly functional!

Like I said, I fashioned this quickly as I just got the tractor a few weeks back and needed to get something done to keep me dry this season while blowing. I plan to work on the cover this summer and make it more appealing. For now....it'll do.

I love, love, love the tractor. She really eats it up and spits it out! Just picked up a plow for her, too.

Thanks for the comments. After looking at some of the other projects in this forum, this one is nowhere near the quality it CAN be, but someday it will!

I would think having the clear vinyl on the front of the cab, like the sides, would improve your forward visibility.

Actually the visibility is great and the Plexiglas is MUCH better than the vinyl. I definitely have to redo the cover. It's crude at best but as I have said, a cab on the cheap. The Pope Mobile comment was a good one. I was hoping you'd see the coupe in it! LOL
