This is my daughter Hayley who is now just turned 21 .

She has just been elected to carryout the coarse building for the show jumping Event at the London Olympics.

This will involve building the actual coarses that the horses jump over and she will reset the jumps when the horses make a fault.

Although her job is not part of the Olympic competetion she gets a gold medal from me as her Dad & i am the proudest dad

What an honor to be elected to do work for the Olympics, I will certainly tune in to that segment now. She looks like a lovely young lady, you have a lot to be proud of! Can't wait to see the :occasion-olympics: this year!

I don't think that Neil added his Military Insignia at the same time as posting this was just a coincidence .... just saying..... :UK:

And you should be proud! This is a tough time to raise kids and try to keep them from going down the wrong path or mixing up with the wrong crowd. It almost seems like there are more wrong paths and wrong crowds than right paths and right crowds doesn't it?

What an experience and what an honour! I can fully understand how much this means to your daughter (and you) as my wife and daughter are into horses big time so between us we keep four legged as well as the four wheeled varieties.

So that will be at Greewich Park, a pretty affluent and trendy area of London but none the less where our Chocolate Labrador, Missie, was found in a park bin as a puppy, complete with all her paperwork. She has a good home now!

Anyway, congratulations to your daughter and enjoy every moment.

Andy

Golly now I know I'll be glued to the set when all this takes place.

We sure love our horses here in Texas, Four legged and four wheeled

Man she will always be your Baby. We know; we had four and our youngest

is now 45 Just ask my wife a bout that and it nearly floored me.

I guess were really over the hill and going down fast.

On a wheel horse of course ! !

How proud you must be. Jim in Texas

Neil, with the Olympics coming to a close I have watched a number of events and the horse jumping track looked fantastic. Unfortunately I didn't see Hayley, but hopefully you were able to see her.

Hi Karl, Sadly she didnt get to do any of the coarse building when the fences fell., Hayley was used for the behind the scenes stuff like cleaning stables grooming etc but i kinda still think she was part of the Olympics along with hundreds of other behind the scenes heros and i think that a lot of hard work goes on behind the cameras that doesnt get much recognition.

She has enjoyed the experience and got to meet so really interesteing people and even managed to get a " THANK YOU " from Princess Annes Daughter Zara Philips.
