Well after a year of driving 1 1/2 hour one way to work, I'm starting a new job 15 min from the house :D:wh::D

I'm going from the trucking industry to the farm machinery industry, and I'm really stoked about it. The new job is at a New Holland tractor dealer in Scotland ,PA as the service manager.

I won't know how to act not driving 3 hours aday :D

Now maybe will have some time to work on the 753 projet

Not to say all the other irons in the fire :wh:

Chaz :D

cool............good move.

Trucks and Tractors........Love them both! But trucks have a way of beating you to death. Or at least beating your brains out! ( I am a fine example)

Now, not to say I suggest you do anything silly while working at New Holland...But I would get a HUGE lunch box!

hehehe

Way to go Chaz, I used to go thru Scotland on Rt 11 a lot when I lived in Chambersburg. If we had found a Walmart to transfer to in Franklin County, Scotland is one of the places I wanted to live.

I'm semi-retired now, but one of the best decisions I ever made (20/20 hind sight) was to buy a house less than 30 minutes from work ! Besides cutting down on the daily drive time, it made those midnight emergency calls more bearable.

:hide: Ben there done that. I used to drive about two and a half hours every day and then go to school after work for about three years. It really sucked, know I work 15 minutes from home what a change that was. Good luck with that new job. :WRS:

I've been doing the hour drive for almost eight years - the gas budget has taken over my Wheelhorse budget - I too have been looking for something closer to home.

Congrats!
