I hope you are all happy now that we are getting a taste of East Coast weather here in the desert.

BTW if you look close you will see what looks like snow on the green grass, but it's actually ice from the lawn sprinklers.............

This was the first "hard freeze" on record! Of course AZ is only 100 years old and for the first 90 years nobody really cared...........

In the last 7 years I saw only one other frozen fountain. We do live far away from the city where the roads and buildings hold heat, so we are a little cooler.

The 'light freezes' mean the temp just touches 32 around 3 or 4 in the morning and turns the flowers black and drops some leaves......But this one broke pipes!

The hardware store up town told me they sold over 30 faucets the next day...

Normally our winter is only 2 weeks long, from the week before Christmas, and that means just a sweater .............this is long underwear weather! (at least at night).

ED.............

hey, you guys have plenty of room for snow there. It would be nice if we could reach 32 degrees here. If you want some snow, I think I remember during the 1967 snow here in Chicago, they loaded up railroad cars with the stuff and hauled it down to Georgia and Florida for the kids to play in. Place your orders gents.
