Horse'n Around

Boy thats good question but a hard one ! I cant pick just one topic but I can try to narrow it down to 2 loosely kinda/sorta. One would be the mechanical/restoration topics and the other would have to be any topic that includes family and friends with our passion for Wheel Horse's, not nescesarially in that order though.

Wait!!!! I thought of more, dang I better leave it at the two and hope someone else says the others

Some of the pics in those first two threads are gone, but they still are great reads.

Karl wish I could have been there when the garage door went up.

Big pat on the back to Eldon too for his efforts.

You know, reading these old posts and looking back, I miss some of the guys that used to post here, i.e. Greg B., Eldon, Joe, Al, TDB, etc. I was, I am, member 31 and it seems like that a few weeks after I joined we started to take off. Some of the core guys are still here, Karl, Sparky, Stephen, etc., and we added some new faces since then, guys who have a wealth of knowledge, or added some humor, etc. But it's good to look back at some of these old posts.

Some of the other, old tractor boards are still around, some dating back 12 years or so (IHCC), some a little younger than that, but still old in the 'net world (wfm), and some of those boards had major crashes where the old posts are gone. And there are still other old boards who have since departed for whatever reason (IH registry). We still have almost all the old archived posts and threads that we can look back on (those other boards may not due to crashes).

RS might be only 4 years old, but we have grown probably more than most sites out there. Who knows how big RS can be. I just hope it still maintains the friendly, down to earth site where everyone knows your name (Cheers reference), and that the established members are still around, as well as the newer established members.

Terry, funny you should mention a few of those names. I've been thinking lately about some people we haven't seen around in a while too.

Stephen already hit some of my absolute favorites... Karl's C-160 was and always will be one of this forum's greatest moments. There have been some fabulous customizations documented here. TT's Drags-tor was one... here's another that ranks up there to me... Gator's 3 point hitch conversion on his Bronco. Completely custom and top notch work!

One other I found and wanted to make sure and share is a post that didn't get a lot of attention at the time, but was very memorable. BadDad (Donnie) from Texas hasn't been around in a while, but he created an great video tribute to Wheel Horses and has it posted on his web page. Follow the link in his post, then go to his Movies section and run the file called oldhorse.exe It's just a slide show set to music. Enjoy!!

Oh... and here's another favorite that was easy to find.

Bud and Steve, you wonder how such a serious question like I asked turned into something so hilarious? :wh: Then I sat back and considered the sources. :) Glad everyone had a great laugh at my expense, but I never did find out what was in the carburetor. When I first joined the RS group I was the 120th member and it's simply unbelievable how its grown since then. I've met many great people along the way and I can't really say which one was my favorite thread or tractor because they're all so good. Hope all the fun continues because this place is like my second home. :)

Ray, Sorry we had such a good time at your expence!

Not what you expeted at all I'am sure, I don't think anyone did!

Some good humor that snowballed out of control!

I thank the Mod's for letting it go :) for so long! I Had a blast!

Sorry you were the scapegoat for such pent up humor!

As for your carb, you never did get a tangeable answer, did you???

It's like that age old question???

How many licks does it take to get to the center of a tootise pop?

Wise old owl ..."Let's see 1,2,3, KKKKrrunchh!... Three!"

The world may never know!!!!!!!! (What was in your carb!) :wh:

Thanks for being a good sport Ray! Hope your feeling better!!!

Best wishes! Prayers sent!

 HORSEFEATHERS!

Bustedglass, Thanks for the complement! I'am tryin' to fit in here!

Like a Roundhood Peg in a Red Square Hole! It fits sort of???

Bud,

That's a great new "signature" for you. Fits better than the Big Ugly Dumb thing which you certainly are not!
