kloe0699 12 #1 Posted August 27, 2010 I have been looking at the Argo's lately. They are pretty amazing! I ice fish alot and like the fact that they float. Does anyone have one or know anybody that does? Thanks, Kevin
Indy w h 4 #2 Posted August 27, 2010 My brother -in-law has the 6 by 6 with the B/S 18 hp engine. It's a blast to be in and drive on land or off land. As far as I know it's never been stuck. Indy

Jim_M 178 #4 Posted August 28, 2010 I used to have an Argo 6x6 with an 18 horse Vanguard. They're a lot slower on water than they are on land. The thing was a lot of fun, but there's a lot of maintenance involved. Lots of bearings and chains all located in the areas that end up under water, in the mud, etc., etc. If you buy a used one look it over good and insist on seeing it float. Pull the seats and floor liners after floating it and see how much water is in the belly pan.
kloe0699 12 #5 Posted August 28, 2010 Thanks for the input... I hadn't priced atv's in a while. 10grand+??? For a little more I could get something that will go anywhere and float.. I can see the maintenance issues involved with these buggies though. I like the idea of them... Gonna kick it around some more. That kinda $$$ could buy some serious horses Kevin
Jim_M 178 #6 Posted August 29, 2010 I found some pictures of my Argo. The wife and I when I had less grey hair. She still looks just as good....It's not fair. Riding off into the sunset
